*In Atlanta, the 2014 Neighborhood Awards hosted by Steve Harvey, is off to an incredible start in a new location.
With this being the inaugural Neighborhood Awards in Atlanta after many years of calling Las Vegas, NV home, the ATL is set to be the new location for future shows.
Opening to a massive audience in the Georgia World Congress Center, The Steve Harvey Morning Show was taped to a live, bustling audience eagerly wanting to see the comedic radio and TV host along with his morning crew of Carla Ferrell, Nephew Tommy, Shirley Strawberry, and Junior.
To top off this inaugural Atlanta event, the crowd was entertained by incredible performances by George Tandy, Jr. and John Legend, both being consummate performers showcasing their dynamic voices.
The Neighborhood Awards is an annual event paying homage to outstanding community businesses in their respective areas such as best community leader, best church, best high school coach, best nail salon, and best school teacher just to name a few.
Infused throughout the weekend event are educational, relationship, and financial seminars, concerts, and a massive 3 day expo with hundreds of vendors.
This year, the Freedom Friday All White Party concert artists were the smooth, melodic Kem and the legendary Ojays, both delivering incredible performances, while the Neighborhood Awards show will feature performances by Robin Thicke, Chrisette Michelle, and Anthony Hamilton just to name a few.
